What is Bio-Vinyl?
A better world for tomorrow means leading the way and developing sustainable products. Therefore, Plastchem’s Bio-Vinyl is made from bio-ethylene, instead of ethylene coming from raw crude oil. Examples of bio-ethylene are used cooking oil and plant residues. The materials we use have no negative impact on the food chain.
The main ingredients for our Bio-Vinyl Record Compounds are made up from 43% ethylene and 57% chlorine from salt water, unlike other polymers that are 100% oil/fossil-derived.
The Bio-Vinyl is ISCC-plus certified, to demonstrate through an independent audit that our methods are as we claim. This ISCC certification ensures that the correct amount of certified bio-material is used throughout the supply chain, and can be tracked back with guaranteed transparent sourcing and ethical production. This means that our raw materials are produced in an ethical way and the 43% ethylene from fossil sources is properly replaced by bio-ethylene. In this way, we contribute to reducing our ecological footprint by more than 90%. For this reason alone, we are proud of this recognition as a sustainable and environmentally friendly producer.
