On Sunday, September 15, Citizen Vinyl hosted Moses Sumney for an in-store performance. During the standing-room only show, Moses performed his debut EP, Mid-City Island, in its entirety.
“It’s somehow been ten years since my first EP, Mid-City Island,” Moses shared on social media earlier this year. “I recorded it straight to cassette from my studio apartment in Los Angeles, and broke as hell, never made vinyl. To celebrate the cruel passage of time, Tuntum [Records — Moses’ label] is releasing a first-ever limited edition vinyl of Mid-City Island. That’s right — ‘Plastic’ on wax.”
The EP was proudly pressed at Citizen Vinyl; Moses’ show took place on stage in view of the vinyl pressing factory that brought Mid-City Island into LP form.
