On Tuesday, April 4, Chef Clarence Robinson of Cooking with Comedy presents a lunch pop-up at Session.
“I created Cooking With Comedy Catering July 2011 for my community and its youth to get a different outlook on life,” says Chef Robinson. “I was blessed to find my passion so I wanted to share my recipe on life. Starting off as a non-profit, I created a cooking class for the seven kids at this program to show them meal prep, cutting techniques and plate ups. And how to stay cool and relaxed in your work environment.”
Chef Robinson, aka The Flavor King, has competed on Food Network’s “Cutthroat Kitchen” and launched the food truck venture “Soul on the Road.” He studied culinary arts at A-B Tech and has worked throughout Asheville’s food scene, from The Grove Park Inn to the Event Center (where he was the Executive Chef) as well as running the kitchen at the Western Carolina Rescue Ministry.
“Cooking With Comedy Catering is your neighborhood Catering Company, cooking all of your favorites with a hip new spin on traditional cuisine,” says Chef Robinson. “Using fresh ingredients with a side of Love and a Comedic twist, we make real food for real people.”
