Larry Turner art opening

Asheville-based artist Larry Turner holds an exhibition for his latest works. Cows Come Home opens Friday, March 29, 6-9 p.m. at Citizen Vinyl.
Larry Turner has been making art since the mid-’70s. In 1973, he got a dental degree and practiced dentistry for 30+ years. Although dentistry was his paying gig, art has always been his passion. Through the years, he has had a number of exhibitions with different themes.
In 1979, while traveling in India, he collected lots of colorful litter. In this collection was a match box with an image of a cow. He began using this image and has reproduced it many times. For this exhibition, the COWS HAVE COME HOME. Many works are new, some are older that have been reworked.
