ABOUT THE POSITION
The Sales Representative will find, secure, and retain clients for Citizen Vinyl’s record manufacturing segment. He/she/they will provide exceptional customer service and work directly with the Chief Executive Officer to develop sales campaigns and marketing initiatives. The Sales Representative will have a practical understanding of the manufacturing processes and help connect clients with the manufacturing team and Production Manager. He/she/they will conduct market research and attend industry events and networking opportunities.

• Position Type: Full Time / hourly plus commission
• Location: Asheville, NC
• Compensation range: Entry level
• Reports to: CEO, marketing team
• Travel: Conventions and related travel
• Supervisory Responsibility: None required
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Identify prospective customers by using business directories, following leads from existing clients, and attending trade shows and conferences
• Provide accurate information about our products, services, and pricing to potential customers
• Prepare customized quotes based on the client’s needs, budget constraints, and within our production capabilities
• Take incoming sales calls and emails as necessary
• Address customer issues promptly and professionally, striving to exceed their expectations and maintain positive relationships
• Cultivate strong relationships with existing and prospective clients through regular communication, follow-up, and personalized interactions
• Identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and repeat business
• Collaborate with colleagues to exchange information, such as information on selling strategies and marketing information
• Gather and analyze consumer behavior data (e.g. industry trends / competitor analysis)
• Conduct market research and identify new opportunities for growth
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• High School Graduate or equivalent
• Minimum four years of related experience from music industry sales / marketing
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
• Proficiency in customer service, negotiation, and account management
• Technical knowledge of vinyl record manufacturing and the record industry
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral
• Computer skills including G-Suite and monday.com
• High level of organization and attention to detail
• Drive to connect with customers and support the company
• Punctuality, reliability, a self-starter and a team player
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work. Light to moderate lifting may be required. Regular, predictable attendance is required; including quarter-driven hours as business demands dictate.
