Since before we pressed our first vinyl record in December of 2020, our twofold goal here at Citizen Vinyl has been to (1) craft the best sounding vinyl records in the industry and (2) provide ‘best-in-class’ customer service to the artists and labels who entrust their projects with us.
“Citizen Vinyl has been an invaluable partner for all of our vinyl manufacturing needs. The care that goes into each and every one of our projects is equally matched by the quality of the finished product.
We (and our artists) have extremely high standards and expectations when it comes to a well-pressed and great sounding record, and Citizen Vinyl delivers.”
– Glenn Dicker, co-founder, Redeye Worldwide Distribution & Yep Roc Records
Why Citizen Vinyl?
There are a number of pressing plants out there. But here are three important reasons why to choose Citizen Vinyl as your go-to quality pressing partner:
1. Industry Leading Turn Times.
Citizen Vinyl now offers turn time completion on new vinyl orders in as short as 3 to 5 months, and as few as eight weeks or less if your project is fully workable*.
2. Location. Location. Location.
Boxes of vinyl records are quite heavy, and quite expensive to ship! But our strategic location here in Western NC enables us to offer one day freight shipping to four of the country’s largest independent record distributors, not to mention the Atlanta, Nashville and Charlotte metro areas.
The result? You’ll save hundreds in shipping costs when pressing with Citizen Vinyl.
3. With retail and programming opportunities, we’re more than just a high quality record pressing plant.
Whether you’re an artist, label or distributor client of Citizen Vinyl, you’re a member of our music community. Our clients are invited to participate in our retail and programming opportunities here in downtown Asheville, NC.
We love to promote and sell the records we press here at Coda – our on-site analog record and art store – as well as host record release parties, vinyl signing events, ticketed concerts, record label pop-ups, in-store live performances and more.
And because of our onsite analog recording and post-production studio, we offer bundled packages to help artists and labels record, mix, master, press and release audiophile quality vinyl records, all under the same roof.
(*fully workable orders require: (1) test pressing approval, (2) all printed components in hand, (3) required PVC is in stock)
“For a few years Psychic Hotline and The GLOW bounced around between several different vinyl manufacturers, but that all stopped when we started working with Citizen Vinyl. The quality of their work and professionalism is unmatched.
They’re one of the best companies making records right now, and we’re lucky to be able to partner with them on so many projects.”
